I hope you have been discovering great recipes, especially those that help you with your energy and well being overall. Here is one that came across my e-mail - I really like it. And, if you don't mind drinking something that looks a little green, it is for you!
Today is Day 10 of my Herbal Cleanse, and I am feeling great. I love my AdvoCare Cleanse - and especially how it has been improved - more simplified - but I love the new packaging too. Currently, I have 4 JOY2BWell clients on the Cleanse! It is a great way to kick off your summer goals ... just like our refrigerators need a good cleaning, so do our bodies!
I was very diligent in my meals, with a few slips (on Cinco de Mayo - just keeping it real!), but overall, I stayed true to the plan and feel SO much better. Less inflammation, increased energy, improved sleep and more! It is just what I needed following some down time from outpatient surgeries - more on that later!
Aside from enjoying my AdvoGreens Snack Shake (Dark Chocolate) in the morning, I used this smoothie as a "snack" in the late afternoon or after a workout. It only takes a few seconds to put together. Try it, you just might like it!
What You Need:
1 1/2 c. Unsweetened almond milk or your favorite unsweetened nut milk
1 c. organic baby spinach
1/2 frozen banana (Freeze night before - make sure you remove the peel first!)
2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder (I used raw cocoa)
1 Tbsp. green superfood powder
2 Tbsp. your favorite protein powder
2 Tbsp. raw walnuts or raw almonds
1 c. ice
What You Do:
Add all the ingredients into the blender and blend away until smooth!
